What I've built, and who it was for

Three projects: one for a local family business, two for my own businesses. I say which is which. Same approach each time: figure out what's actually wasting time, build the thing that fixes it, hand over the keys.

1. 405 Tropical Fish, A website for a 33-year family business

Project: Website Single page Westminster, CA Launching soon

The Problem

405 Tropical Fish is a family-owned neighborhood aquarium shop that has been a 33-year family business at the same location in Westminster, CA. Same family, same tanks. They needed a website that looked like the shop does, not a generic pet-store template, and that people searching for a fish store nearby could find.

The Solution

A single-page, hand-built website. It opens with a photo-led hero, then the family's story, then what's in the tanks: freshwater fish, live plants, shrimp and inverts, supplies and food. A section shows the handwritten prices on the glass, and a visit section has hours, parking, and the address. The design uses bold storefront colors and a few Thai touches that reflect the family.

The page carries local business schema (a PetStore listing with address, hours, and the nearby cities they serve) and plain-language copy, so search engines and AI assistants can read it.

The Result

The site is built and launching soon. I'll link it and add real results here once it's live. Until then I'm not making any ranking or traffic claims.

Before
No website of their own
Now
One-page, photo-led site with local SEO schema, launching soon

2. My own YouTube channels, creative direction and outreach

Project: Design + Automation Custom SVGs Outreach pipeline My own channels

The Problem

I run two YouTube channels in adjacent niches and they needed a unified visual identity: channel banners, custom thumbnails, intro sequences, and branded SVGs for end screens. I was spending several hours per video on assets and outreach: replying to collaboration requests, scheduling emails, copying contact info from spreadsheets.

The Solution

Two tracks of work. First, creative direction: custom SVG channel headers, thumbnail templates that keep the brand consistent while allowing variation per video, and a style guide for future uploads. Second, an automated outreach pipeline: when a collaboration request comes in, the system checks the sender against a preference list, drafts a reply, logs the interaction, and schedules a follow-up, all approval-gated.

The Result

I stopped outsourcing asset creation, and the outreach pipeline handles most routine collaboration replies, which saves me hours every week. These are my own channels and my own numbers, not a client result. It's here to show the kind of work I do.

Before
Several hours per video on assets + outreach
After
Hours per week recovered, in my own use

3. Estate Sale Tool, 6 tools reduced to one

Project: Custom tool About 30 sec per item My own reselling business

The Problem

My own reselling business prices about 50 items per estate sale, each taking about 10 minutes. The workflow: photograph with phone → upload to Google Images → cross-reference on eBay sold listings → check Craigslist → check Facebook Marketplace → type pricing into a spreadsheet → compose individual listings. Six tools per item. Over 8 hours of manual work for a single sale.

The Solution

A single unified tool. I take a photo, the system checks sold comps across eBay, Facebook Marketplace, and Craigslist simultaneously, no more switching tabs. It generates a price range based on actual sold data and outputs a draft listing with title, description, and suggested price, in about 30 seconds per item. Nothing posts automatically: each draft listing is reviewed and approved before going live.

The Result

In my own testing, 50 items now take about 25 minutes instead of about 8 hours. The pricing is more consistent because the system checks three marketplaces at once instead of one at a time, and the approval gate means every listing gets a human look before it posts. These are my own numbers from my own business, not a client result.

Before
About 8 hours for 50 items
After
About 25 minutes for 50 items, in my own testing
